TL;DR: It is shown that LSD1 promotes the survival of prostate cancer cells, including those that are castration-resistant, independently of its demethylase function and of the AR, and that the drug SP-2509 acts as an allosteric inhibitor of LSD1–blocking dem methylase-independent functions.

TL;DR: It is shown here that keratinocytic nuclear receptor retinoid X receptor-α (RXRα) regulates mouse keratinocyte and melanocyte homeostasis following acute UVR, and that RXR antagonists, together with inhibitors of cell proliferation, can be effective in preventing solar UVR-induced photocarcinogenesis.
