Cost-effectiveness of bariatric surgery and non-surgical weight management programmes for adults with severe obesity: a decision analysis model

TL;DR: In this paper, an economic evaluation of five different Weight Management Programs (WMPs) for adults, in England with severe obesity (BMI ≥ 35 kg/m2), who are more at risk of obesity related diseases was performed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Streptococcus pneumoniae serotype 15B polysaccharide conjugate elicits a cross-functional immune response against serotype 15C but not 15A.

TL;DR: In this article , the authors implemented an algorithm to quickly differentiate 15B from its closely related serotypes 15C and 15A directly from whole-genome sequencing data, and molecular dynamics simulations of 15A, 15B, 15C, and 15C polysaccharides were demonstrated that while 15A and 15B assume rigid branched conformation, 15A assumes a flexible linear conformation.
Journal ArticleDOI

HIV dynamics linked to memory CD4+ T cell homeostasis

TL;DR: Modelling indicates that much of the dynamical behavior of HIV can be explained by its impact on memory CD4+ T cell homeostasis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lessons from a multicentre paediatric HIV trial.

TL;DR: It is hypothesised that antiretrovirals could be deferred until CD4+ cell-count falls below 15% in both asymptomatic and mildly symptomatic children with moderate immune suppression, without affecting their prognosis.
