Journal ArticleDOI

Moreton and EUV Waves Associated with an X1.0 Flare and CME Ejection

TL;DR: In this article, a 3D geometrical model was proposed to explain the observed wavefronts as the chromospheric and low-coronal traces of an expanding and outward-traveling bubble intersecting the Sun.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of perfluoroalkyl steroids as CO-emulsifying agents for 1-bromoperfluorooctane and other perfluorocompounds

TL;DR: The use of perfluoroalkyl-substituted steroids for testing as co-emulsifying agents in perfluorooctyl bromide/water emulsions which are used as blood substitutes is discussed in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Progress in marine geoconservation in Scotland’s seas: assessment of key interests and their contribution to Marine Protected Area network planning

TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed criteria and a methodology that follow the established principles of the terrestrial, Great Britain-wide geoconservation audit, the Geological Conservation Review, to assess geodiversity key areas on the seabed.
Journal ArticleDOI

New high O2 carrying perfluorochemical emulsions: toxicity, radiosensitivity of GM-CFC and development of metastases in mice.

TL;DR: The effects of two new concentrated perfluorochemical emulsions based on F-66E and PFOB, which carry significantly more oxygen than Fluosol-DA 20%, were tested on normal tissues and on the development of metastases from Lewis Lung Carcinoma in female C57 BL/6 mice.
