Oxygen-sensitive reduction in Ca2+-activated K+ channel open probability in turtle cerebrocortex ☆

TL;DR: It is concluded that turtle pyramidal cell Ca( 2+)-activated K(+) channels are oxygen-sensitive channels regulated by cytosolic factors and are likely the reptilian analog of the mammalian large conductance Ca(2+)- activated K(+ channels (BK channels).

Repeat Expansion Detection Analysis of (CAG)n Tracts in Tumor Cell Lines, Testicular Tumors, and Testicular Cancer Families

TL;DR: The repeat expansion detection technique was used to determine whether (CAG)n triplet repeat expansions were present in DNA from malignant cells and whether germline transmission of expanded (C AG)n tracts may play a role in testicular tumorigenesis.
