Journal ArticleDOI

Dielectric properties of epoxy silica and boron nitride nanocomposites and moisture/temperature influences

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used Monte-Carlo simulation to estimate the average thickness of water shell or related relaxation peak of epoxy nanocomposites with spherical particles, and concluded that surface treatment is able to reduce the water uptake, however, no obvious impact on modifying its effects on dielectric properties due to the limitation of thickness of tightly bonded layer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Laser sintering of graphene nanoplatelets encapsulated polyamide powders

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a comprehensive study in the fabrication and safety of new nanocomposite powders for laser sintering based on a core-shell structure where nanoparticles (graphene nanoplatelets, GNP) are encapsulated on the surface of the polymeric particles (polyamides PA12) in a thin layer of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA).
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental demonstration of deep traps in silica-based polyethylene nanocomposites by combined isothermal surface potential decay and pulsed electro-acoustic measurements

TL;DR: In this paper, a simple and more direct approach based on isothermal surface potential decay combined with pulsed electro-acoustic measurements was proposed to verify the presence of deep traps in silica-based blend polyethylene nanocomposites.
Journal ArticleDOI

The effect of filler loading ratios and moisture on DC conductivity and space charge behaviour of SiO2 and hBN filled epoxy nanocomposites

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of adding nanoparticles into epoxy resins and the characteristics of the movement of charges in the materials based on combining analysis on morphology, DC conductivity and space charge measurements is discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of water on the breakdown and dielectric response of polypropylene/nano aluminium nitride composites

TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of water immersion and silane treatment on the AC breakdown and complex dielectric response of polypropylene/nano-aluminium nitride composites has been investigated.
