Low‐Temperature Synthesis of Phase‐Pure 0D–1D BaTiO3 Nanostructures Using H2Ti3O7 Templates

TL;DR: In this paper, a simple solvothermal reaction of protonated trititanate (H 2 Ti 3 O 7 ) nanowires with barium hydroxide octahydrate [Ba(OH) 2 ·8H 2 O] at 80 °C in ethanol/water mixed solvent systems was demonstrated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Efficient waste polyvinyl(butyral) and cellulose composite enabled carbon nanofibers for oxygen reduction reaction and water remediation

TL;DR: In this article, the fabrication of carbon nanofibers from natural cellulose and W-PVB composites using a facile electrospinning, carbonization, and KOH activation approach is reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

A higher aspect ratio enhanced bioaccumulation and altered immune responses due to intravenously-injected aluminum oxide nanoparticles.

TL;DR: Accumulation following a single IV injection with rod-types of AlO NP is strengthened by a high aspect ratio and, subsequently, this accumulation has the potential to influence immune functions in an exposed host.
Journal ArticleDOI

Biomineralized Multifunctional Magnetite/Carbon Microspheres for Applications in Li-Ion Batteries and Water Treatment

TL;DR: A facile, scalable biomineralization process in which Micrococcus lylae bacteria are used as soft templates to synthesize 3D hierarchically structured magnetite (Fe3O4) microspheres for use as Li-ion battery anode materials and in water treatment applications shows superior adsorption of organic pollutants and toxic heavy metals.
Journal ArticleDOI

Patterns of palliative procedures and clinical outcomes in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer.

TL;DR: A considerable proportion of patients with advanced NSCLC receive palliative procedures apart from chemotherapy, and these interventions should be taken into consideration for comprehensive cancer care and timely cooperation with palliatives care team.
