TL;DR: The Tokamak Fusion Test Reactor (TFTR) has been operating safely and routinely with deuterium-tritium fuel for more than two years as discussed by the authors, achieving record breaking results.

C.H. Skinner,W. R. Blanchard,J. H. Kamperschroer,P. H. LaMarche,D. Mueller,A. Nagy,S. D. Scott,G. Ascione,E. Amarescu,R. Camp,Michael A. Casey,J. Collins,M. Cropper,C.A. Gentile,M. Gibson,J. Hosea,M. TL;DR: In this article, the tritium was injected by both gas puff and neutral beams and the isotopic mix of hydrogenic recycling was measured spectroscopically and the fraction T/(H+D+T) transiently increased to as high as 75%.
