Journal ArticleDOI
Disease impact of rheumatoid arthritis in patients not treated with advanced therapies; survey findings from the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society.
TL;DR: Patients not currently treated with advanced therapies experience profound difficulties in everyday living with RA, across a broad range of measures, and it is advocated that patient-reported measures be used to facilitate holistic care, addressing inflammation and other consequences of RA on everyday life.
Journal ArticleDOI
Intercentre variance in patient reported outcomes is lower than objective rheumatoid arthritis activity measures: a cross-sectional study.
Nasim A. Khan,Horace J. Spencer,Elena Nikiphorou,Antonio Naranjo,Rieki Alten,Rodica Chirieac,Alexandros A. Drosos,Pál Géher,Nevsun Inanc,Eduardo Kerzberg,Codrina Ancuta,Rüediger Müller,Lykke Midtbøll Ørnbjerg,T. Sokka +13 more
TL;DR: Intercentre variability in PROs is lower than objective measures of RA activity demonstrating that PROs may be more comparable across centres, and the need for standardization of objective measures.
Journal ArticleDOI
Metabolic Profile and Bone Status in Post-Menopausal Women with Rheumatoid Arthritis: A Monocentric Retrospective Survey
Sabrina Paolino,Elvis Hysa,Sabrina Atena Stoian,E. Gotelli,Andrea Casabella,Paolo Vittoriano Clini,Greta Pacini,Carmen Pizzorni,Alberto Sulli,Elena Nikiphorou,Elena Nikiphorou,Vanessa Smith,Vanessa Smith,Maurizio Cutolo +13 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated clinical, metabolic, and bone parameters in RA patients with or without MetS (MetS+, MetS-) and potential correlations between the glico-lipidic profile, RA disease activity and bone status.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: No temporal trend was observed in either COVID-19-related hospitalization or mortality outcomes for people with rheumatic disease in Ireland.
Journal ArticleDOI
Achieving consensus on minimum data items (including core outcome domains) for a longitudinal observational cohort study in rheumatoid arthritis.
Elena Nikiphorou,Sarah L. Mackie,Sarah L. Mackie,John R. Kirwan,Martin Boers,John D. Isaacs,Ann W. Morgan,Ann W. Morgan,Adam Young +8 more
TL;DR: Reaching a consensus for the proposed minimal data items for long‐term observational cohort studies of RA in the UK posed novel challenges and opportunities, and was largely successful.
