On the Formation of Whewellite in the Cactaceae Species Opuntia microdasys
Paula Monje,Enrique J. Baran +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the isolation of well formed crystals of the biomineral whewellite (monohydrated calcium oxalate) from Opuntia microdasys, a cactaceae species found in central Mexico, is described.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and characterization of a solid vanadyl(iv) complex of d-glucuronic acid
TL;DR: In this paper, a new example of a solid VO2+ /carbohydrate complex, in which the oxocation is chelated by pairs of adjacent diol groups, was characterized by chemical analysis, electronic and infrared spectroscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Die Schwingungsspektren von Ca3(VO4)2 und Ca3(AsO4)2[l]
TL;DR: In this article, the infrared and Raman spectra of Ca3(VO4)2 are reported and discussed with the aid of the Site-Symmetrie (SS) rules.
Journal ArticleDOI
Structural and spectroscopic characterization of isotypic sodium, rubidium and cesium acesulfamates
Oscar E. Piro,Gustavo A. Echeverría,Eduardo E. Castellano,Beatriz S. Parajón-Costa,Enrique J. Baran +4 more
TL;DR: In this paper, three new acesulfamate salts, NaC4H4NO4S, RbC4 H4 NO4S and CsC4 h4NO 4S, were prepared by reactions in aqueous solutions and thoroughly characterized by X-ray diffraction methods.
Journal ArticleDOI
Preparation and properties of copper(II) sebacate
TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis of copper(II) sebacate, a potentially useful compound for copper supplementation, has been improved by means of IR and electronic spectroscopy, as well as by magnetic susceptibility measurements over a wide temperature range.
