Journal ArticleDOI

A disk asymmetry in motion around the B[e] star MWC158

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the origin of the variability within the inner astronomical unit of the central star using near-infrared interfero-metric observations with PIONIER over a two-year period.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Pulsation of Chi Cygni Imaged by Optical Interferometry; a Novel Technique to Derive Distance and Mass of Mira Stars

TL;DR: In this article, the S-type Mira star Chi Cygni was observed at four different epochs in 2005-2006 with the IOTA optical interferometer (H band) and images showed up to 40% variation in the stellar diameter, as well as significant changes in the limb darkening and stellar inhomogeneities.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

The 2014 interferometric imaging beauty contest

TL;DR: This process has shown that new comers can use publicly-available imaging software to interpret VLTI/PIONIER imaging data, as long as sufficient observations are taken to have complete uv coverage { a luxury that is often missing}, and urges proposers to request adequate observing nights to collect sufficient data for imaging and for time allocation committees to recognise the importance of uv Coverage.
