How to extinguish lymphocyte activation, immunotyrosine-based inhibition motif (ITIM)-bearing molecules a solution?

TL;DR: ITIM-bearing molecules represent a novel family of inhibitory receptors expressed widely through the hematopoietic compartment and are able to recruit phosphatases on their phosphorylated ITIM and thus mediate a localized inhibition of the transduction pathways.
Journal ArticleDOI

Phase I Trial of Prophylactic Donor-Derived IL-2-Activated NK Cell Infusion after Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation from a Matched Sibling Donor.

TL;DR: In this article, a phase-I clinical trial evaluating the safety of a prophylactic donor-derived ex vivo IL-2 activated NK cell (IL-2 NK) infusion after allo-HSCT for patients with hematologic malignancies was designed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Publisher Correction: Harnessing innate immunity in cancer therapy.

TL;DR: An Amendment to this paper has been published and can be accessed via a link at the top of the paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Abl-1 Kinase is Dispensable for NK Cell Inhibitory Signalling and is not Involved in Murine NK Cell Education.

TL;DR: C‐Abl deficiency in NK cells did not affect NK cell inhibition via the receptors Ly49G2, Ly49A and NKG2A and it is concluded that signalling downstream of murine inhibitory receptors does not involve c-Abl and that c‐ABL plays no major role in NK cell education in the mouse.
