Journal ArticleDOI

Full-genome evolutionary analysis of the novel corona virus (2019-nCoV) rejects the hypothesis of emergence as a result of a recent recombination event.

TL;DR: Evidence is shown that the novel coronavirus (2019-nCov) is not-mosaic consisting in almost half of its genome of a distinct lineage within the betacoronavirus, suggesting that the hypothesis that 2019-nCoV has originated from bats is very likely.

Molecular epidemiology of HIV-1 infection in Europe: An overview.

TL;DR: The study of HIV-1 epidemic diversity provides a useful tool by which to understand the history of the pandemic in addition to allowing us to monitor the spread and growth of the epidemic over time.
Journal ArticleDOI

A review of the impact of weather and climate variables to COVID-19: In the absence of public health measures high temperatures cannot probably mitigate outbreaks.

TL;DR: The increase in the number of cases observed during summertime in the Northern hemisphere, and especially in countries with high average ambient temperatures, demonstrates that in the absence of public health interventions, cannot mitigate the resurgence of COVID-19 outbreaks.
