TL;DR: In this article, the mtDNA heteroplasmy in all available tissues was quantitatively assessed and two new patients carrying the rare m.3890G>A/MT-ND1 (p.Arg195Gln) mtDNA pathogenic variant, revisited another two previously reported cases and reviewed the remaining published cases, to refine the clinical and neuroimaging features.

High MUC2 immunohistochemical expression is a predictor of poor response to preoperative radiochemotherapy (RCT) in rectal adenocarcinoma.

TL;DR: A significant negative correlation between immunohistochemical expression of MUC2 in pre-RCT biopsies and regression grade in postoperative specimens was showed and a significant cutoff value of 60% of M UC2 positive neoplastic cells inPreoperative RCTBiopsies was observed.
