Decomposition of Electromagnetic Interferences in the Time-Domain
TL;DR: In this paper, a combination of techniques that includes empirical mode decomposition and transient mode decomposition is used to separate the main components of complex electromagnetic disturbances, which is useful to gain insights of the process that generates the interference.
Journal ArticleDOI
Initial Analysis of SAR From a Cell Phone Inside a Vehicle by Numerical Computation
TL;DR: A complementary result from the electromagnetic computations performed is the change in the electromagnetic field distribution inside a vehicle when human bodies are present, which is not likely to produce an increase above the limits in current guidelines for partial body exposure, but may be significant for whole-body exposure.
Journal ArticleDOI
Improving time-domain EMI measurements through digital signal processing
TL;DR: It is believed that general purpose time-domain instruments, as oscilloscopes, can be successfully used as an alternative hardware to measure EMI, since they provide accurate and reliable results, surpassing the conventional frequency-domain approach when transient disturbances are present.
Man-made noise in our living environments
TL;DR: The ITU's (International Telecommunication Union's) man-made noise levels are based on measurements performed in the 1970s and some measurements have been carried out since then, showing that noise caused by automotive ignition systems has been reduced, but manmade noise in business areas and city centers increased, especially due to the widespread use of electronic systems as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
SIVA UAV: A Case Study for the EMC Analysis of Composite Air Vehicles

Fernandez,Jesus Alvarez,Mario F. Pantoja,Manuel Anon,Ferran Silva,Amelia Rubio Bretones,Rafael Trallero,Luis Nuño,David Escot,Rafael Gomez Martin,Salvador García +20 more
TL;DR: A benchmark test case based on experimental measurements coming from direct-current injection tests in the SIVA unmanned air vehicle is presented, reproduced by a numerical finite-difference-time-domain solver that employs a new subgridding scheme to treat lossy composite thin panels.
