Elastography: new developments in ultrasound for predicting malignancy in thyroid nodules.

Carel W. le Roux, +200 more
- 08 Apr 2017 -

Journal ArticleDOI

Relative potencies and additivity of perchlorate, thiocyanate, nitrate, and iodide on the inhibition of radioactive iodide uptake by the human sodium iodide symporter.

TL;DR: Results are consistent with a common mode of action by these anions of simple competitive interaction, in which a concentration of any one of ClO(4) (-) SCN(-), and NO(3) (-), occurring either individually or as part of a mixture of the three anions, is indistinguishable from a concentration or dilution of either of the remaining two ions in inhibiting iodine uptake at the NIS.
Journal ArticleDOI

Subacute Thyroiditis After Sars-COV-2 Infection.

TL;DR: The first case of SAT related to SARS-CoV-2 infection is reported and clinicians are alerted to additional and unreported clinical manifestations associated with COVID-19.
Journal ArticleDOI

Clinical Features of Patients with Graves' Disease Undergoing Remission After Antithyroid Drug Treatment

TL;DR: Age at onset of hyperthyroidism, goiter size and TRAb level are particularly helpful in identifying those patients who are more prone to undergo a remission of hyper thyroidroidism after medical treatment and may be useful to select the minority of Graves' patients who will benefit from antithyroid drug treatment as a first choice.
