A Brush/Gel Metal-Nanoparticle Hybrid Film as an Efficient Supported Catalyst in Glass Microreactors
Francesca Costantini,Edmondo M. Benetti,Roald M. Tiggelaar,Han Gardeniers,David N. Reinhoudt,Jurriaan Huskens,G. Julius Vancso,Willem Verboom +7 more
TL;DR: The wide applicability of the catalytic devices is demonstrated for the reduction of 4-nitrophenol and for the Heck reaction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nanostructure based on polymer brushes for efficient heterogeneous catalysis in microreactors.
Francesca Costantini,Wojciech P. Bula,Riccardo Salvio,Jurriaan Huskens,Han Gardeniers,David N. Reinhoudt,Willem Verboom +6 more
TL;DR: The utility of the combination of catalyst-functionalized brushes and a microreactor is clearly demonstrated for the TBD-catalyzed Knoevenagel condensation reaction of benzaldehyde and malononitrile.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enzyme-functionalized polymer brush films on the inner wall of silicon-glass microreactors with tunable biocatalytic activity.
Francesca Costantini,Edmondo M. Benetti,David N. Reinhoudt,Jurriaan Huskens,Gyula J. Vancso,Willem Verboom +5 more
TL;DR: The lipase from Candida Rugosa was immobilized to a poly(methacrylic acid) polymer brush layer, grown on the inner wall of silicon-glass microreactors, demonstrating that the lipase's substrate affinity and its activity remain unchanged upon immobilization to the microchannel wall.
Journal ArticleDOI
Aptamer-based sandwich assay for on chip detection of Ochratoxin A by an array of amorphous silicon photosensors
Francesca Costantini,Cristiana Sberna,G. Petrucci,Massimo Reverberi,Fabio Domenici,Corrado Fanelli,Cesare Manetti,Giampiero de Cesare,Maria C. DeRosa,Augusto Nascetti,Domenico Caputo +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, a multichannel glass-PDMS microfluidic chip with a novel aptasensor has been developed for the detection of Ochratoxin A (OTA).
Journal ArticleDOI
Lab-on-chip system combining a microfluidic-ELISA with an array of amorphous silicon photosensors for the detection of celiac disease epitopes
Francesca Costantini,Cristiana Sberna,G. Petrucci,Cesare Manetti,Giampiero de Cesare,Augusto Nascetti,Domenico Caputo +6 more
TL;DR: By optimizing the dilution factors of both sera and Ig-HRP samples in the flowing solutions, the specific and non-specific antibodies against GPs can be successfully distinguished, showing the suitability of the presented device to effectively screen celiac disease epitopes.
