Design of a system for monitoring antimicrobial resistance in pathogenic, zoonotic and indicator bacteria from food animals.

TL;DR: DANMAP is a Danish programme for integrated monitoring of and research on antimicrobial resistance in bacteria from food animals, food and humans, as well as the procedures for data handling and presentation of results.
Journal ArticleDOI

Host Resistance, Genomics and Population Dynamics in a Salmonella Enteritidis and Phage System.

TL;DR: A mathematical model exploring population and resistance dynamics of Salmonella under different conditions is created, suggesting a nonlethal, growth-inhibiting antibiotic may decrease resistance to phage-therapy cocktails.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluation of ceftiofur and cefquinome for phenotypic detection of methicillin resistance in Staphylococcus aureus using disk diffusion testing and MIC-determinations

TL;DR: This work compared the usefulness of ceftiofur and cefquinome to cefoxitin, for detection of MRSA and found that these cephalosporins are not as efficient as cefxitin.
