Novel Broadband OWC Receiver with Large Aperture and Wide Field-of-View

TL;DR: In this article, a low-complexity broadband optical wireless receiver based on a novel 2-dimensional matrix of photodiodes yielding a large aperture and wide FoV in an IR beam-steered system was proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fiber-array pigtailing and packaging of an InP-based optical cross-connect chip

TL;DR: In this paper, a method of coupling six singlemode fiber tapers with 250-spl mu/m spacing to an InP-based integrated optical cross-connect chip has been developed and realized.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

1 km hole-assisted few-mode multi-core fiber 32QAM WDM transmission

TL;DR: In this paper, a 1km hole-assisted few-mode multi-core fiber is demonstrated, resulting in 5.1Tbit/s spatial supercarriers with a gross spectral efficiency of 102bits/s/Hz.

Performance assessment of a complete packaged sub-Gbps WDM receiver

TL;DR: Performance Assessment of A Complete Packaged Sub−Gbps WDM Receiver E.T. Tangdiongga, J.H.C. van Bennekom, R.W. van Zantvoort, P.J.K. Jonker, F.M.Toledo, and F.C., Zhu.
Journal ArticleDOI

All-optical signal processing for optical packet switching

TL;DR: It is shown that self-induced polarization rotation can be used for both the header processor and the header preprocessor, and a three-state all-optical memory is presented, which increases the number of possible output states of an optical packet switch.
