Journal ArticleDOI

Pressure overload leads to an increased accumulation and activity of mast cells in the right ventricle

TL;DR: The time course of structural and functional changes in the RV in the murine model of pressure overload‐induced RV hypertrophy in C57Bl/6J mice is investigated to suggest possible involvement of mast cells inThe RV remodeling process in response to pressure overload.
Journal ArticleDOI

Analysis of tumor vessel supply in Lewis lung carcinoma in mice by fluorescent microsphere distribution and imaging with micro- and flat-panel computed tomography.

TL;DR: In this model of peripheral parenchymal malignancy, new imaging techniques allowed effective visualization of lung tumor growth and vascularization in living mice, demonstrating a pulmonary blood supply for lung tumors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Inhaled Tolafentrine Reverses Pulmonary Vascular Remodeling via Inhibition of Smooth Muscle Cell Migration

TL;DR: It is demonstrated for the first time that inhalation of combined PDE3/4 inhibitor reverses pulmonary hypertension fully developed in response to monocrotaline in rats.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lung vasodilatory response to inhaled iloprost in experimental pulmonary hypertension: amplification by different type phosphodiesterase inhibitors

TL;DR: It is concluded that co-administration of minute systemic doses of selective PDE inhibitors with inhaled iloprost markedly enhances and prolongs the pulmonary vasodilatory response to inhaled Iloprost, with maintenance of pulmonary selectivity and ventilation perfusion matching.
