Journal ArticleDOI

Synchronization dynamics of mobile oscillators in the presence of coupling delays

TL;DR: It is found that mobility can speed up synchronization when coupling delays are present and a subdivision of the mobility range into different dynamical regimes is suggested, which reveals that, with delayed coupling, synchronization is enhanced at a lower mobility rate than with instantaneous coupling.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antibiotic resistance: Insights from evolution experiments and mathematical modeling

TL;DR: A new strategy for observing, predicting, and ultimately controlling resistance evolution is emerging, based on advances in quantitative cell physiology and predictive theoretical models of resistance.

Antibiotic resistance: Insights from evolution experiments and mathematical modeling.

TL;DR: A combination of systematic experimental and theoretical approaches is required to gain a fundamental understanding of resistance evolution as discussed by the authors, and a new strategy for observing, predicting, and ultimately controlling resistance evolution is emerging.
