Bandgap engineering of Cu2CdxZn1−xSnS4 alloy for photovoltaic applications: A complementary experimental and first-principles study
Zhenyu Xiao,Yongfeng Li,Bin Yao,Rui Deng,Zhanhui Ding,Tom Wu,Gang Yang,Chun-Ran Li,Zi-Yuan Dong,Lei Liu,Ligong Zhang,Haifeng Zhao +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors report on bandgap engineering of an emerging photovoltaic material of Cu 2Cdx Zn 1−x SnS 4 (CCZTS) alloy, which is a potentially suitable material to fabricate high efficiency multi-junction tandem solar cells with different bandgap-tailored absorption layers.
Journal ArticleDOI
High- k Polymer Nanocomposites Filled with Hyperbranched Phthalocyanine-Coated BaTiO3 for High-Temperature and Elevated Field Applications.
TL;DR: Findings on hyperbranched coating structure could be applicable to other ceramic-polymer composites to enhance their dielectric response and breakdown strength.
Journal ArticleDOI
An experimental and first-principles study on band alignments at interfaces of Cu2ZnSnS4/CdS/ZnO heterojunctions
Zi-Yuan Dong,Yongfeng Li,Bin Yao,Zhanhui Ding,Gang Yang,Rui Deng,Xuan Fang,Zhipeng Wei,Lei Liu +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the conduction-band offsets at both CZTS/CdS and CdS/ZnO interfaces were investigated and the authors showed that the type-II alignment for CzTS/cdS heterojunction can form less of a barrier to electron transport across the interfaces, which increases recombination of carriers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electronic and optical properties of kesterite Cu2ZnSnS4 under in-plane biaxial strains: First-principles calculations
TL;DR: In this paper, the electronic structures and optical properties of CZTS under in-plane biaxial strain were systematically investigated using first-principles calculations based on generalized gradient approximation and hybrid functional method, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
Band alignments at interface of Cu2ZnSnS4/ZnO heterojunction: An X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and first-principles study
Gang Yang,Yongfeng Li,Bin Yao,Zhanhui Ding,Rui Deng,Jieming Qin,Fang Fang,Xuan Fang,Zhipeng Wei,Lei Liu +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the band alignments at the interface of Cu 2 ZnSnS 4 (CZTS)/ZnO heterojunction were determined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.
