Selective laser trabeculoplasty versus drops for newly diagnosed ocular hypertension and glaucoma: the LiGHT RCT.
Gus Gazzard,Gus Gazzard,Evgenia Konstantakopoulou,Evgenia Konstantakopoulou,David F. Garway-Heath,David F. Garway-Heath,Anurag Garg,Anurag Garg,Victoria Vickerstaff,Rachael Hunter,Gareth Ambler,Catey Bunce,Catey Bunce,Richard Wormald,Richard Wormald,Richard Wormald,Neil Nathwani,Keith Barton,Keith Barton,Gary S. Rubin,Stephen Morris,Marta Buszewicz +21 more
TL;DR: A 36-month pragmatic, unmasked, multicentre randomised controlled trial to compare health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in newly diagnosed, treatment-naive patients with OAG or OHT, treated with two treatment pathways: topical IOP-lowering medication from the outset or primary SLT followed by topical medications as required (Laser-1st).
Journal ArticleDOI
Efficacy of Repeat Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty in Medication-Naive Open-Angle Glaucoma and Ocular Hypertension during the LiGHT Trial
Anurag Garg,Victoria Vickerstaff,Neil Nathwani,David F. Garway-Heath,Evgenia Konstantakopoulou,Gareth Ambler,Catey Bunce,Richard Wormald,Keith Barton,Gus Gazzard,Laser in Glaucoma +10 more
TL;DR: These exploratory analyses demonstrate that repeat SLT can maintain IOP at or below target IOP in medication-naive OAG and OHT eyes requiring retreatment with at least an equivalent duration of effect to initial laser.
Journal ArticleDOI
Crisis resolution teams for people experiencing mental health crises: the CORE mixed-methods research programme including two RCTs
Brynmor Lloyd-Evans,Marina Christoforou,David Osborn,David Osborn,Gareth Ambler,Louise Marston,Danielle Lamb,Oliver Mason,Nicola Morant,Sarah A Sullivan,Claire Henderson,Rachael Hunter,Stephen Pilling,Fiona Nolan,Richard Gray,Tim Weaver,Kathleen Kelly,Nicky Goater,Alyssa Milton,Elaine Johnston,Kate Fullarton,Melanie Lean,Beth Paterson,Jonathan Piotrowski,Michael Davidson,Rebecca Forsyth,Liberty Mosse,Monica Leverton,Puffin O’Hanlon,Edward Mundy,Tom Mundy,Ellie Brown,Sarah Fahmy,Emma Burgess,Alasdair Churchard,Claire Wheeler,Hannah Istead,David Hindle,Sonia Johnson,Sonia Johnson +39 more
TL;DR: The peer-provided self-management intervention is an effective means to reduce relapse rates for people leaving CRT care and showed potential promise as a means to increase CRT model fidelity and reduce inpatient service use.
Journal ArticleDOI
What factors indicate prognosis for adults with depression in primary care? A protocol for meta-analyses of individual patient data using the Dep-GP database.
Joshua E.J. Buckman,Rob Saunders,Zachary D. Cohen,Katherine Clarke,Gareth Ambler,Robert J. DeRubeis,Simon Gilbody,Steven D. Hollon,Tony Kendrick,Edward R. Watkins,Ian R. White,Glyn Lewis,Stephen Pilling +12 more
TL;DR: To assess the association between outcomes for adults seeking treatment for depression and the severity of depression pre-treatment, data from the individual participants of clinical trials which have measured a breadth of “disorder severity” related factors are needed are needed.
Journal ArticleDOI
A randomised placebo-controlled Phase III multicentre trial: low-dose intravenous immunoglobulin treatment for long-standing complex regional pain syndrome (LIPS trial)
Andreas Goebel,Jatinder Bisla,Roy Carganillo,Claire Cole,Bernhard Frank,Rima Gupta,Mairi James,Joanna Kelly,Candy McCabe,Candy McCabe,Holly Milligan,Caroline Murphy,Nick Padfield,Ceri Phillips,Helen Poole,Mark Saunders,Mick Serpell,Nick Shenker,Karim Shoukrey,Lynne Wyatt,Gareth Ambler +20 more
TL;DR: This research presents a meta-analysis of 120 cases of central giant cell granuloma in mice over a 12-month period and shows clear patterns of progeria in men and women over a period of 12 weeks.
