Implementation of the Crisis Resolution Team model in adult mental health settings: a systematic review
Claire Wheeler,Brynmor Lloyd-Evans,Alasdair Churchard,Caroline Fitzgerald,Kate Fullarton,Liberty Mosse,Bethan Paterson,Clementina Galli Zugaro,Sonia Johnson +8 more
TL;DR: This review aims to establish what evidence, if any, is available regarding the characteristics of effective and acceptable CRTs, and cannot draw confident conclusions about the critical components of CRTs from available quantitative evidence.
Journal ArticleDOI
Peer-supported self-management for people discharged from a mental health crisis team: a randomised controlled trial.
Sonia Johnson,Sonia Johnson,Danielle Lamb,Louise Marston,David Osborn,David Osborn,Oliver Mason,Oliver Mason,Claire Henderson,Gareth Ambler,Alyssa Milton,Michael Davidson,Marina Christoforou,Sarah A Sullivan,Rachael Hunter,David Hindle,Beth Paterson,Monica Leverton,Jonathan Piotrowski,Rebecca Forsyth,Liberty Mosse,Nicky Goater,Kathleen Kelly,Mel Lean,Stephen Pilling,Stephen Pilling,Nicola Morant,Brynmor Lloyd-Evans +27 more
TL;DR: The findings suggest that peer-delivered self-management reduces readmission to acute care, although admission rates were lower than anticipated and confidence intervals were relatively wide.
Journal ArticleDOI
Crisis resolution teams for people experiencing mental health crises: the CORE mixed-methods research programme including two RCTs
Brynmor Lloyd-Evans,Marina Christoforou,David Osborn,David Osborn,Gareth Ambler,Louise Marston,Danielle Lamb,Oliver Mason,Nicola Morant,Sarah A Sullivan,Claire Henderson,Rachael Hunter,Stephen Pilling,Fiona Nolan,Richard Gray,Tim Weaver,Kathleen Kelly,Nicky Goater,Alyssa Milton,Elaine Johnston,Kate Fullarton,Melanie Lean,Beth Paterson,Jonathan Piotrowski,Michael Davidson,Rebecca Forsyth,Liberty Mosse,Monica Leverton,Puffin O’Hanlon,Edward Mundy,Tom Mundy,Ellie Brown,Sarah Fahmy,Emma Burgess,Alasdair Churchard,Claire Wheeler,Hannah Istead,David Hindle,Sonia Johnson,Sonia Johnson +39 more
TL;DR: The peer-provided self-management intervention is an effective means to reduce relapse rates for people leaving CRT care and showed potential promise as a means to increase CRT model fidelity and reduce inpatient service use.
Journal ArticleDOI
An intervention for parents with severe personality difficulties whose children have mental health problems: a feasibility RCT.
Crispin Day,Jackie Briskman,Mike J. Crawford,Lisa Foote,Lucy Harris,Janet Boadu,Paul McCrone,Mary McMurran,Daniel Michelson,Paul Moran,Liberty Mosse,Stephen Scott,Daniel Stahl,Paul Ramchandani,Tim Weaver +14 more
TL;DR: The findings broadly supported trial feasibility using non-diagnostic screening criteria, and effects on child and parenting outcomes were detected across both arms, with a potential outcome advantage for the Helping Families Programme-Modified.
Journal ArticleDOI
Experiences of social work intervention among mothers with perinatal mental health needs.
TL;DR: Experiences of social work intervention among women with perinatal mental health difficulties are explored and it is suggested that mothers had a predominantly negative view of children's social services, especially when social workers had significant child protection concerns.
