Journal ArticleDOI

Symmetric and asymmetric 13-vertex bimetallacarboranes by polyhedral expansion

TL;DR: Symmetric 4,5,2,3-M(2)C( 2)B(9) 13-vertex bimetallacarboranes of cobalt and ruthenium with 14 skeletal electron pairs are afforded by reduction and metallation of 3,1,2-MC(2]B( 9) icosahedra.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structural and spectral studies of 3-(2-hydroxyphenylimino)-1-phenylbutan-1-one and its diorganotin(IV) complexes

TL;DR: Two diorganotin(IV) complexes of the general formula R2Sn[Ph(O)C CH-C(Me) N-C6H4(O)] (R = Ph, 1a; R = Me, 1b) have been synthesized from the corresponding DIN dichlorides and the ligand, 3-(2-hydroxyphenyhenylimino)-1-phenylbutan-1-one (1) in methanol at room temperature in presence of triethylamine as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

New synthetic routes to face-to-face and open-book triazenide-bridged dirhodium bipyridyl complexes with the [Rh2]4+ core

TL;DR: In this paper, the crystal structure of 3 shows a Rh-Rh single bond and one of the three terminal nitrile ligands axially attached to the bipy-bound rhodium atom.
Journal ArticleDOI

NaI/CuI–II heterometallic cages interconnected by unusual linear 2-coordinate OCN-Cu(I)-NCO links: synthesis, structural, magnetostructural correlation and computational studies

TL;DR: Density functional theory calculations have been carried out to gain additional insights into the metal and ligand orbitals participating in this unusual structure and interestingly the copper ions involved in OCN-Cu(I)-NCO links possess a linear 2-coordinate geometry.
