Journal ArticleDOI

Study of morphology and composition of Pt-black catalysts III. XPS study of Pt-black

TL;DR: In this paper, the ratio of Pt 4f7/2 to 4f5/2 peak intensities indicates that a considerable fraction of the surface Pt atoms are in an oxidized state, bound to oxygen and also to surface CO.
Journal ArticleDOI

Excitation mechanism in the photodissociation of dioxygen adsorbed on Pd(111)

TL;DR: In this paper, the ultraviolet photochemistry of dioxygen adsorbed on Pd(111) has been investigated by high-resolution electron energy-loss spectroscopy (HREELS).
Journal ArticleDOI

Interaction of CO with the stoichiometric RuO2(110) surface

TL;DR: In this article, the adsorption of CO on RuO2(110) single-crystalline thin films grown on Ru(0001) was studied with scanning tunneling microscopy (STM), thermal desorption spectroscopy (TDS), and high-resolution electron energy-loss spectrograms.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrosorption and electrooxidation of CO on Ru(0001)

TL;DR: In this article, the coulometric charge of the current peak at − 0.15 V equals 120 μC cm−2, which corresponds to a CO saturated coverage of 0.5 ML on Ru(0001) in good agreement with the current transient of CO electrooxidation.
