Journal ArticleDOI

The target landscape of clinical kinase drugs

TL;DR: A comprehensive analysis of 243 kinase inhibitors that are either approved for use or in clinical trials provides an open-access resource of target summaries that could help researchers develop better drugs, understand how existing drugs work, and design more effective clinical trials.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cancer cell invasion and EMT marker expression: a three-dimensional study of the human cancer-host interface.

TL;DR: The relationship between current biological and clinical concepts such as cell migration modes, tumour budding and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) remains unclear in several aspects, especially for the'real' situation in human cancer as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

A simple scoring system based on clinical factors related to pancreatic texture predicts postoperative pancreatic fistula preoperatively

TL;DR: Preoperative stratification of patients regarding risk for POPF by simple clinical parameters is feasible and Pancreatic texture, as evaluated intraoperatively by the surgeon, is the strongest single predictive factor of POPF.
Journal ArticleDOI

Merkel cell polyomavirus sequences are frequently detected in nonmelanoma skin cancer of immunosuppressed patients

TL;DR: The data show that MCPyV is a frequently reactivated virus in immunocompromized patients and contributes to the pathogenesis of NMSC, i.e., BD, SCC and BCC, in immunosuppressed patients and in addition, potentially to the Pathogenesis of a subset of sporadic BCC.
Journal ArticleDOI

Survival, disease-free interval, and associated tumor features in patients with colon/rectal carcinomas and their resected intra-pulmonary metastases

TL;DR: Pulmonary metastases occur even in patients with limited tumor-stages of primary colon/rectum cancer, and the major parameter to estimate the total survival of patients with lung metastases is the DFI, which correlated significantly with the tumor load and the number of metastases.
