Heralded quantum memory for single-photon polarization qubits

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a scheme to implement a heralded quantum memory for single-photon polarization qubits with a single atom trapped in an optical cavity, where an injected photon only exchanged quantum state with the atom, so that the heralded storage can be achieved by detecting the output photon.

Room-temperature coherent control of implanted defect spins in silicon carbide

TL;DR: Recently, vacancy-related spin defects in silicon carbide (SiC) have been demonstrated to be potentially suitable for versatile quantum interface building and scalable quantum network construction, and significant efforts have been undertaken to identify spin systems in SiC and to extend their quantum capabilities using large scale growth and advanced nanofabrication methods as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Quantum secret sharing without entanglement

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a quantum secret sharing scheme where only product states are employed, which is more applicable when the number of the parties of secret sharing is large and their theoretic efficiency is also doubled to approach 100%.
Journal ArticleDOI

Phase-Controlled Phonon Laser

TL;DR: In this article, a phase-controlled ultralow-threshold phonon laser is proposed by using tunable optical amplifiers in coupled-cavity-optomechanical system.
