Abatement of various types of VOCs by adsorption/catalytic oxidation: A review

TL;DR: In this article, the development of efficient adsorbents and catalysts for VOCs with varied nature are discussed, and the perspectives on the potential future directions of the adsorptive removal and catalytic oxidation of VOC are given.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Combined Experimental/Computational Study on the Adsorption of Organosulfur Compounds over Metal–Organic Frameworks from Fuels

TL;DR: The experimental and computational results together suggest that the adsorption strength of thiophenic compounds over Cu-BTC is dominated by the interaction of both the conjugated π system and the lone pair of electrons on sulfur atom ofThiophenes, with the coordinatively unsaturated sites (CUS) on Cu- BTC.
Journal ArticleDOI

Visible-light induced photocatalytic oxidative desulfurization using BiVO4/C3N4@SiO2 with air/cumene hydroperoxide under ambient conditions

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors explored a new visible-light induced photocatalytic oxidative desulfurization (PODS) approach using BiVO 4 /C 3 N 4 @SiO 2 with air/cumene hydroperoxide (CHP) under ambient conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Catalytic adsorptive desulfurization of model diesel fuel using TiO2/SBA-15 under mild conditions

TL;DR: In this paper, a CADS-TiO2/SBA-15 system was investigated for diesel fuel desulfurization under mild conditions, and the results showed that the CADS equilibrium reached fast in 0.5h.
