Journal ArticleDOI

Accelerated Hydrogen Evolution Kinetics on NiFe-Layered Double Hydroxide Electrocatalysts by Tailoring Water Dissociation Active Sites.

TL;DR: Both experimental and theoretical results reveal that the introduction of Ru atoms into NiFe-LDH can efficiently reduce energy barrier of the Volmer step, eventually accelerating its HER kinetics.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ultrafine NiO Nanosheets Stabilized by TiO2 from Monolayer NiTi-LDH Precursors: An Active Water Oxidation Electrocatalyst

TL;DR: The ultrafine NiO nanosheets displayed outstanding performance in electrochemical water oxidation due to a high proportion of reactive NiO {110} facets, intrinsic Ni( 3+) and Ti(3+) sites, and abundant interfaces, which act synergistically to promote H2O adsorption and facilitate charge-transfer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Defect‐Rich Ultrathin ZnAl‐Layered Double Hydroxide Nanosheets for Efficient Photoreduction of CO2 to CO with Water

TL;DR: Defect-rich ultrathin ZnAl-layered double hydroxide nanosheets are successfully prepared and are superior efficient catalysts for the photoreduction of CO2 to CO with water.
Journal ArticleDOI

Defect‐Engineered Ultrathin δ‐MnO2 Nanosheet Arrays as Bifunctional Electrodes for Efficient Overall Water Splitting

TL;DR: In this article, a novel bifunctional electrode consisting of two monolayer thick manganese dioxide (δ-MnO2) nanosheet arrays on a nickel foam, using a novel in-situ method was developed.
