Megacity impacts on regional ozone formation: observations and WRF-Chem modeling for the MIRAGE-Shanghai field campaign

TL;DR: In this paper, the MIRAGE-Shanghai experiment was designed to characterize the factors controlling regional air pollution near a Chinese megacity and was conducted during September 2009, and the results showed that ozone photochemical formation was strongly under the VOC (volatile organic compound)-limited condition in the urban area of Shanghai.
Journal ArticleDOI

On the occurrence of postmidnight equatorial F region irregularities during the June solstice

TL;DR: In this article, the GPS total electron content (TEC) fluctuations obtained from a global GPS network and spread F in ionograms from Jicamarca (283°E, 12°S, Dip 1°N) in the American longitude sector and Kwajalein (167°E and 9°N, Dip 4°N).
Journal ArticleDOI

Statistics of GPS ionospheric scintillation and irregularities over polar regions at solar minimum

TL;DR: In this article, a statistical study of the occurrence characteristic of GPS ionospheric scintillation and irregularity in the polar latitude is presented, which shows consistent results with past studies of 250 MHz satellite beacon measurements.
Journal ArticleDOI

Precursor signatures and evolution of post‐sunset equatorial spread‐F observed over Sanya

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the role of large-scale wave structures (LSWS) and the onset and development of ESF over Sanya (18°N, 109°E) during both geomagnetic quiet and disturbed conditions in September-October 2011.
