Journal ArticleDOI

Re-appraisal of lacewing mimicry of liverworts from the mid-Cretaceous Kachin amber, Myanmar with a description of Selaginella cretacea sp. nov. (Selaginellales, Selaginellaceae)

TL;DR: A unique case of liverwort mimesis in lacewing larvae of Phyllochrysa huangi has been reported from the mid-Cretaceous Kachin amber, Myanmar as discussed by the authors .
Journal ArticleDOI

Integrating genomics and conservation to safeguard plant diversity

TL;DR: A recent review as discussed by the authors summarizes the recent progress in plant genomics with an emphasis on their importance to the conservation of plant diversity and outlines steps to integrate genomics into plant conservation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Celebrating Research Devoted to Seed‐Free Land Plants

TL;DR: This special issue celebrates the unique diversity of seed‐free land plants (SFLP) and in particular the contribution of Jochen Heinrichs (1969–2018), who dedicated his research to the study of the evolution and taxonomy of these plants.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evolutionary constraints on disparity of ericaceous pollen grains.

TL;DR: The hypothesis that pollen disparity in Ericaceae did not evolve steadily but rather pulsed over time, clearly decoupling from the relative constant rate pattern of species diversification inferred, suggests that innovation of pollen germination traits may have little effect on species diversity.
