Monoclonal antibody D2-40, a new marker of lymphatic endothelium, reacts with Kaposi's sarcoma and a subset of angiosarcomas

TL;DR: D2-40 stained all cases of cutaneous KS at all stages of progression, supporting the concept that this disease originates from a cell type capable of undergoing lymphatic differentiation and is valuable for studying benign and malignant vascular disorders in routinely processed tissue specimens.
Journal ArticleDOI

Role of Antibody to S100 Protein in Diagnostic Pathology

TL;DR: A normal progenitor cell was identified, indicating that demonstration of S100 protein in tumors confirmed their origin, and demonstrated it in mixed sweat gland tumors and tumors of cartilage.
Journal ArticleDOI

A new monoclonal antibody, D2-40, for detection of lymphatic invasion in primary tumors.

TL;DR: Monoclonal antibody D2–40, a new selective marker of lymphatic endothelium, clearly demarcates tumor emboli in lymphatics in paraffin sections of primary tumors, including cancers of breast, colon, prostate, cervix, endometrium, and skin (melanoma and squamous cell carcinoma).
Journal ArticleDOI

p27 Phosphorylation by Src Regulates Inhibition of Cyclin E-Cdk2

TL;DR: The data indicate that phosphorylation by Src impairs the Cdk2 inhibitory action of p27 and reduces its steady-state binding to cyclin E-Cdk2-dependent p27 proteolysis, and this provides a new rationale for Src inhibitors in cancer therapy.
