Methyl orange adsorption comparison on nanoparticles: Isotherm, kinetics, and thermodynamic studies
TL;DR: In this paper, a batch equilibrium system has been used to investigate the adsorption of methyl orange (MO) on NiO and CuO nanoparticles (NPs), and the effects of experimental conditions such as initial concentration, agitation time, solution pH and temperature were examined.
Journal ArticleDOI
Suaeda maritima-based herbal coils and green nanoparticles as potential biopesticides against the dengue vector Aedes aegypti and the tobacco cutworm Spodoptera litura
Udaiyan Suresh,Kadarkarai Murugan,Kadarkarai Murugan,Chellasamy Panneerselvam,Rajapandian Rajaganesh,Mathath Roni,Al Thabiani Aziz,Hatem A. Al-Aoh,Subrata Trivedi,Hasibur Rehman,S. Suresh Kumar,Akon Higuchi,Angelo Canale,Giovanni Benelli +13 more
TL;DR: The results highlighted the potential of S. maritima -based herbal coils and green nanoparticles as biopesticides in the fight against the dengue vector A. aegypti and the tobacco cutworm Spodoptera litura and inhibited the growth of Bacillus subtilis, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Salmonella typhi.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sargassum wightii-synthesized ZnO nanoparticles reduce the fitness and reproduction of the malaria vector Anopheles stephensi and cotton bollworm Helicoverpa armigera
Kadarkarai Murugan,Kadarkarai Murugan,Mathath Roni,Chellasamy Panneerselvam,Al Thabiani Aziz,Udaiyan Suresh,Rajapandian Rajaganesh,Rajasekar Aruliah,Jazem A. Mahyoub,Subrata Trivedi,Hasibur Rehman,Hatem A. Al-Aoh,S. Suresh Kumar,Akon Higuchi,Baskaralingam Vaseeharan,Hui Wei,Sengottayan Senthil-Nathan,Angelo Canale,Giovanni Benelli +18 more
TL;DR: The current approach adopted here contributes to control and adaptively manage resistance to other available insecticides in field populations of H. armigera and An.
Journal ArticleDOI
Adsorption of methylene blue on activated carbon fiber prepared from coconut husk: isotherm, kinetics and thermodynamics studies
TL;DR: In this article, the adsorption of methylene blue (MB) on activated carbon fiber (ACF) and granular activated carbon (ACG) was studied in a batch system.
