Long-Term Outcomes of Coronary Endarterectomy in Patients With Complete Imaging Follow-Up
Sharaf-Eldin Shehada,Fanar Mourad,Ilir Balaj,Mohamed El Gabry,Daniel Wendt,Matthias Thielmann,Thomas Schlosser,Heinz Jakob +7 more
TL;DR: Although CEA is a complex and second-line procedure, it offers a surgical option to allow myocardial revascularization in patients with diffuse or severe coronary artery disease and good short- and long-term results can be achieved.
Journal ArticleDOI
Complete reversal of paraplegia after thoracic endovascular aortic repair in a patient with complicated acute aortic dissection using immediate cerebrospinal fluid drainage
Holger Eggebrecht,Dirk Böse,Thomas Gasser,Jaroslav Benedik,Petra Mummel,Oliver Müller,Philipp Kahlert,Konstantinos Tsagakis,Heinz Jakob,Raimund Erbel +9 more
TL;DR: The successful use of immediate CSF drainage after delayed-onset paraplegia in a patient who underwent TEVAR for acute aortic dissection complicated by malperfusion syndrome is reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors report midterm clinical outcomes with a self-expandable sutureless aortic valve, which is associated with low mortality and morbidity and good hemodynamic performance.
Journal ArticleDOI
Early Clinical Outcomes of Surgical Myocardial Revascularization for Acute Coronary Syndromes Complicated by Cardiogenic Shock: A Report From the North-Rhine-Westphalia Surgical Myocardial Infarction Registry.
Oliver J. Liakopoulos,Georg Schlachtenberger,Daniel Wendt,Yeong-Hoon Choi,Ingo Slottosch,Henryk Welp,Wolfgang Schiller,Sven Martens,Armin Welz,Markus Neuhäuser,Markus Neuhäuser,Heinz Jakob,Thorsten Wahlers,Matthias Thielmann +13 more
TL;DR: Surgical revascularization in N STEMI and STEMI patients with CS is associated with a substantial but not prohibitive IHM and MACCE rate, and worse early outcomes were found for patients with STEMI complicated by CS compared with NSTEMI patients.
