Journal ArticleDOI
Comment on Xie et al.: The effects of CES1A2 A(-816)C and CYP2C19 loss-of-function polymorphisms on clopidogrel response variability among Chinese patients with coronary heart disease.
TL;DR: It is reported that platelet inhibition achieved with clopidogrel was associated with an A(− 816)C variation in the duplicated version of the carboxylesterase 1 gene (CES1), designated CES1A2, and genotyping of this variation was a previously developed allele-specific PCR procedure.
Journal ArticleDOI
Suicidal Behavior and the Serotonin Transporter Gene Polymorphism (5-HTTLPR) with Novel Subtypes, in Danish Schizophrenic Patients
August G. Wang,Henrik B. Rasmussen,Holger J. Sørensen,Marianne Hvid,Claus Breddam,Bjarne Hansen,Vibeke Høg Bille,Ole Garsdal,Anne Sophie Jacoby,Karen Søeby,Henrik Dam,Lasse Krogsbøll,Sally Timm,Thomas Werge +13 more
TL;DR: It is found that there is no support for a relevant relation between the polymorphisms in the serotonin promoter and suicidal behavior in the schizophrenic patient sample.
Journal ArticleDOI
Outcomes of a 12-week ecologically valid observational study of first treatment with methylphenidate in a representative clinical sample of drug naïve children with ADHD.
Kristine Kaalund-Brok,Tine Houmann,Marie Bang Hebsgaard,Maj-Britt Glenn Lauritsen,Louise Hyldborg Lundstrøm,Helene Grønning,Lise Darling,Susanna Reinert-Petersen,Morten Aagaard Petersen,Jens Richardt Møllegaard Jepsen,Anne Katrine Pagsberg,Kerstin Jessica Plessen,Henrik B. Rasmussen,Henrik B. Rasmussen,Pia Jeppesen,Indices +15 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe treatment responses and their predictors during the first 12 weeks of methylphenidate (MPH) treatment using repeated measurements of symptoms and adverse reactions (ARs) to treatment in 207 children recently diagnosed with ADHD.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pulmonary administration of remdesivir in the treatment of COVID-19.
TL;DR: Investigations into pulmonary delivery of remdesivir, modifications of its prodrugmoiety, and use of nanoformulations of this agent to improve treatment of COVID-19 pneumonia are proposed and are uncertain about the conclusion that intravenous administration of remDesivir in the treatment ofCOVID- 19 is unlikely to produce therapeutically effective concentrations of this prodrug and its active antiviral agent in human lungs.
