Journal ArticleDOI
Combining Co3S4 and Ni:Co3S4 nanowires as efficient catalysts for overall water splitting: an experimental and theoretical study.
TL;DR: The design and performances of cobalt-based oxide and sulfide nanowires as catalysts that can be used for both hydrogen and oxygen evolution reactions in the same compatible electrolyte are reported, opening a new avenue in the quest for overall water splitting using electrochemical systems.
Journal ArticleDOI
A low-cost and one-step synthesis of N-doped monolithic quasi-graphene films with porous carbon frameworks for Li-ion batteries
Xiaoxu Liu,Xiaoxu Liu,Xiaoxu Liu,Dongliang Chao,Yao Li,Jian Hao,Xusong Liu,Jiupeng Zhao,Jianyi Lin,Hong Jin Fan,Zexiang Shen +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, a monolithic quasi-graphene film with porous carbon frameworks (GPF), both nitrogen-doped, was fabricated by a one-step pyrolysis of commercial filter membrane, and demonstrated its improved performance in Li-ion storage compared to commercial graphite.
Journal ArticleDOI
Modulating built-in electric field via variable oxygen affinity for robust hydrogen evolution reaction in neutral media.
Li Jun Zhai,Xiaojie She,Lyuchao Zhuang,Yanyong Li,Ran Ding,Xuyun Guo,Yongqi Zhang,Ye Zhu,Kun Xu,Hong Jin Fan,Shu Ping Lau +10 more
TL;DR: In this article , a Pt@CoO x electrocatalyst with a large work function difference (ΔΦ) and strong BEF is presented, which shows outstanding hydrogen evolution activity in a neutral medium with a 4.5-fold mass activity higher than 20% Pt/C.
