Enhanced Photoresponsive Ultrathin Graphitic-Phase C3N4 Nanosheets for Bioimaging

TL;DR: Benefiting from the inherent blue light PL with high quantum yields and high stability, good biocompatibility, and nontoxicity, the water-soluble ultrathin g-C(3)N(4) nanosheet is a brand-new but promising candidate for bioimaging application.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ultrathin Spinel-Structured Nanosheets Rich in Oxygen Deficiencies for Enhanced Electrocatalytic Water Oxidation

TL;DR: A series of spinel-structured nanosheets with oxygen deficiencies and ultrathin thicknesses designed to increase the reactivity and the number of active sites of the catalysts were taken as an excellent platform for promoting the water oxidation process and should provide a new pathway for the design of advanced OER catalysts.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ultrathin Black Phosphorus Nanosheets for Efficient Singlet Oxygen Generation

TL;DR: The exfoliated black phosphorus nanosheets are demonstrated to be effective photosensitizers for the generation of singlet oxygen with a high quantum yield of about 0.91, rendering their attractive applications in catalysis and photodynamic therapy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Oxygen-Vacancy-Mediated Exciton Dissociation in BiOBr for Boosting Charge-Carrier-Involved Molecular Oxygen Activation

TL;DR: This work demonstrates that excitons can be effectively dissociated into charge carriers with the incorporation of oxygen vacancy, leading to excellent performances in charge-carrier-involved photocatalytic reactions such as superoxide generation and selective organic syntheses under visible-light illumination.
Journal ArticleDOI

Boosting Hot-Electron Generation: Exciton Dissociation at the Order–Disorder Interfaces in Polymeric Photocatalysts

TL;DR: By taking heptazine-based melon as an example, it is verified that enhanced hot-carrier generation could be obtained in semicrystalline polymeric photocatalysts, which is ascribed to the accelerated exciton dissociation at the abundant order-disorder interfaces.
