Journal ArticleDOI

Anionic defect engineering of transition metal oxides for oxygen reduction and evolution reactions

TL;DR: In this article, a review of recent progress in manipulating the anion defects in transition metal oxides for enhancing their activity and stability is summarized and the proposed mechanisms for enhanced performance are discussed in detail.
Journal ArticleDOI

A highly active, CO2-tolerant electrode for the oxygen reduction reaction

TL;DR: In this article, a double perovskite PrBa0.2Co2O5+δ (PBCC) cathode with excellent ORR activity and remarkable CO2 tolerance under realistic operation conditions was reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Highly Efficient Multi-phase Catalyst Dramatically Enhances the Rate of Oxygen Reduction

TL;DR: In this article, a multi-phase catalyst coating (∼30nm thick), composed of BaCoO 3−x (BCO) and PrCoO3−x nanoparticles (NPs) and a conformal PrBa 0.2 Co 2 O 5+δ (PBCC) thin film, has dramatically enhanced the rate of oxygen reduction reaction (ORR).
Journal ArticleDOI

Uncovering the Effect of Lattice Strain and Oxygen Deficiency on Electrocatalytic Activity of Perovskite Cobaltite Thin Films.

TL;DR: Strain‐induced excessive oxygen vacancies in the LSC/STO increases the eg state occupancy and enlarges the energy gap between the O 2p and Co 3d band, resulting in lower OER activity.
