TL;DR: An atomic beam magnetic resonance (ABMR) apparatus has been constructed at Orsay, and has been installed at the CERN PS Booster ISOLDE mass separator facility for "on-line" work with radioactive isotopes in a program to measure hyperfine structure anomalies (the Bohr-Weisskopf effect) over long isotopic chains as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Systematic measurements of the bohr-weisskpf effect at isolde
H.T. Duong,J. Pinard,C. Ekström,M. Gustafsson,Ingvar Lindgren,Thomas Nilsson,J. R. Persson,T. T. Inamura,P. Juncar,Seishi Matsuki,Toshiyuki Murayama,Rainer Neugart,J. L. Vilalle,M. Pellarin,S Penselin,I Ragnarsson,O. Redi,H. Henry Stroke +17 more
TL;DR: In this article, a program at ISOLDE is proposed to measure the hyperfine anomaly systematically in the heavy alkali elements, and the experimental setup to achieve, in particular, a precise measurement of the nuclearg-factor is presented and the results on atomic beams of 39K are discussed.
