Epigenetic targeting of histone deacetylase: Therapeutic potential in Parkinson's disease?

TL;DR: Examining the evidence of the neuroprotective effects of numerous HDACIs in cellular and animal models of Parkinsonian cell death is examined, answering the question: does epigenetic targeting of histone deacetylases hold therapeutic potential in PD.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nuclear import of HIV‐1 intracellular reverse transcription complexes is mediated by importin 7.

TL;DR: This work has studied nuclear import of purified HIV‐1 RTCs in primary macrophages and found that importin 7, an import receptor for ribosomal proteins and histone H1, is involved in the process.
Journal ArticleDOI

Non-invasive imaging of CSF-mediated brain clearance pathways via assessment of perivascular fluid movement with diffusion tensor MRI.

TL;DR: This work presents the first non-invasive technique for the assessment of glymphatic inflow by using an ultra-long echo time, low b-value, multi-direction diffusion weighted MRI sequence to assess perivascular fluid movement in the rat brain.
