Novel Multiclass Classifiers Based on the Minimization of the Within-Class Variance

TL;DR: A novel class of multiclass classifiers inspired by the optimization of Fisher discriminant ratio and the support vector machine (SVM) formulation is introduced, which is applied to face recognition and other classification problems using Mercer's kernels.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Affective Gaming: A Comprehensive Survey

TL;DR: This paper outlines some of the most important problems that have to be tackled in order to create more realistic and efficient interactions between players and games and concludes by high-lighting the challenges such systems must overcome.

Dense 3D Face Decoding over 2500FPS: Joint Texture & Shape Convolutional Mesh Decoders

TL;DR: This paper presents the first, to the best of the knowledge, non-linear 3DMMs by learning joint texture and shape auto-encoders using direct mesh convolutions and demonstrates how these auto- encoders can be used to train very light-weight models that perform Coloured Mesh Decoding in-the-wild at a speed of over 2500 FPS.

Fast-GANFIT: Generative Adversarial Network for High Fidelity 3D Face Reconstruction

TL;DR: This paper harnesses the power of Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) and DCNNs in order to reconstruct the facial texture and shape from single images and achieves for the first time, to the best of the authors' knowledge, facial texture reconstruction with high-frequency details.

Analysing Affective Behavior in the second ABAW2 Competition

TL;DR: The ABAW2 as discussed by the authors 2019 Competition is the second edition of the Affective Behavior Analysis in-the-wild (ABAW) in the wild (ABW2) challenge.
