Social Deafferentation and the Relation Between Loneliness and Hallucinations

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors investigated the effects of loneliness severity on past month prevalence of hallucinations and the presence of social versus nonsocial hallucinations, and showed that loneliness specifically increases the likelihood of hearing human sounds such as voices or laughter, or feeling a human touch.

[Automated speech analysis can distinguish frontotemporal dementia from depression: a pilot study].

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors investigated the value of automated speech analyses in differentiating frontotemporal dementia from a depressive disorder and achieved an 80% accuracy for differentiating bvFTD from depressive disorder, while semantic values showed an 70.8% accuracy.
