Image filtering for two-photon deep imaging of lymphonodes
Michele Caccia,Laura Sironi,Maddalena Collini,Giuseppe Chirico,Ivan Zanoni,Francesca Granucci +5 more
TL;DR: It is shown that the most severe limitation for deep imaging of lymphonodes appears to be the tissue scattering and the diffuse fluorescence emission of labeled cell (lymphocytes) in layers above the focusing plane.
Journal ArticleDOI
μMAPPS: a novel phasor approach to second harmonic analysis for in vitro-in vivo investigation of collagen microstructure.
F. Radaelli,Laura D'Alfonso,Maddalena Collini,F. Mingozzi,Laura Marongiu,Francesca Granucci,Ivan Zanoni,Ivan Zanoni,Giuseppe Chirico,Laura Sironi +9 more
TL;DR: A Microscopic Multiparametric Analysis by Phasor projection of Polarization-dependent SHG (μMAPPS) that maps the features of the collagen architecture in tissues at the micrometer scale and develops a clustering algorithm to automatically group pixels with similar microstructural features.
Journal ArticleDOI
Migratory conventional dendritic cells in the induction of peripheral T cell tolerance
TL;DR: The purpose of this review is to give a picture of the recent finding regarding steady‐state migratory DCs with particular interest in their role in inducing T cell tolerance.
Journal ArticleDOI
Zinc-dependent histone deacetylases drive neutrophil extracellular trap formation and potentiate local and systemic inflammation.
Valentina Poli,Victor Pui-Yan Ma,Marco Di Gioia,Achille Broggi,Mehdi Benamar,Qian Chen,Ralph Mazitschek,Ralph Mazitschek,Stephen J. Haggarty,Talal A. Chatila,Jeffrey M. Karp,Ivan Zanoni +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that histone deacetylases (HDACs) play critical roles in driving neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) formation in human and mouse neutrophils.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dendritic Cells in the Cross Hair for the Generation of Tailored Vaccines.
TL;DR: Advances in DCs-based vaccination approaches, which exploit direct in vivo DCs targeting and activation options are reviewed, and the recent findings for efficient antitumor DC's-based vaccinations and combination strategies to reduce the immune tolerance promoted by the tumor microenvironment are discussed.
