Medium-resolution isaac newton telescope library of empirical spectra
Patricia Sanchez-Blazquez,Patricia Sanchez-Blazquez,Patricia Sanchez-Blazquez,Reynier Peletier,Reynier Peletier,J. Jiménez-Vicente,Nicolás Cardiel,A. J. Cenarro,Jesús Falcón-Barroso,Javier Gorgas,Selim O. Selam,Alexandre Vazdekis +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a stellar library for stellar population synthesis modelling is presented, which consists of 985 stars spanning a large range in atmospheric parameters and is obtained at the 2.5m Isaac Newton Telescope and cover the range λλ 3525-7500 A at 2.3 A spectral resolution.
Journal ArticleDOI

Medium-resolution Isaac Newton Telescope library of empirical spectra - II. The stellar atmospheric parameters
A. J. Cenarro,Reynier Peletier,Patricia Sanchez-Blazquez,Selim O. Selam,Elisa Toloba,Nicolás Cardiel,Jesús Falcón-Barroso,Javier Gorgas,J. Jiménez-Vicente,Alexandre Vazdekis +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a homogeneous set of stellar atmospheric parameters for MILES, a new spectral stellar library covering the range lambda lambda 3525-7500 angstrom at 2.3 angstrom (FWHM) spectral resolution.
Journal ArticleDOI
Microlensing of quasar broad emission lines: constraints on broad line region size
E. Guerras,E. Guerras,Evencio Mediavilla,Evencio Mediavilla,J. Jiménez-Vicente,Christopher S. Kochanek,J. A. Muñoz,E. E. Falco,Veronica Motta +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured the differential microlensing of the broad emission lines between 18 quasar image pairs in 16 gravitational lenses and found that the broad line emission lines are in general weakly microlensed.
Journal ArticleDOI
A robust determination of the size of quasar accretion disks using gravitational microlensing
J. Jiménez-Vicente,Evencio Mediavilla,Evencio Mediavilla,J. A. Muñoz,Christopher S. Kochanek +4 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used microlensing measurements for a sample of 27 image pairs of 19 lensed quasars and determined a maximum likelihood estimate for the accretion disk size of an average quasar of r{sub s} = 4.0{sup +2.4} lt-day at rest frame ({lambda}) = 1736 Angstrom-Sign for microlenses with a mean mass of (M) = 0.3 M{sub Sun }.
