The Image Biomarker Standardization Initiative: Standardized Quantitative Radiomics for High-Throughput Image-based Phenotyping
Alex Zwanenburg,Alex Zwanenburg,Martin Vallières,Mahmoud A. Abdalah,Hugo J.W.L. Aerts,Hugo J.W.L. Aerts,Vincent Andrearczyk,Aditya Apte,Saeed Ashrafinia,Spyridon Bakas,Roelof J. TL;DR: A set of 169 radiomics features was standardized, which enabled verification and calibration of different radiomics software and could be excellently reproduced.
Journal ArticleDOI
Radiogenomics in head and neck cancer: correlation of radiomic heterogeneity and somatic mutations in TP53, FAT1 and KMT2D
Kerstin Zwirner,Franz J. Hilke,German Demidov,Jairo Socarras Fernandez,Stephan Ossowski,Cihan Gani,Cihan Gani,Daniela Thorwarth,Daniela Thorwarth,Olaf Riess,Daniel Zips,Daniel Zips,Christopher Schroeder,Stefan Welz,Stefan Welz +14 more
TL;DR: An association of somatic mutations in FAT1 with reduced radiomic tumour heterogeneity could potentially elucidate the previously described favourable outcomes of these patients, and further studies are needed to validate this exploratory data in the future.
Journal ArticleDOI
Simulation CT-based radiomics for prediction of response after neoadjuvant chemo-radiotherapy in patients with locally advanced rectal cancer
Pierluigi Bonomo,Jairo Socarras Fernandez,Daniela Thorwarth,Marta Casati,Lorenzo Livi,Daniel Zips,Cihan Gani +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors report on the discriminative ability of a simulation computed tomography (CT)-based radiomics signature for predicting response to treatment in patients undergoing neoadjuvant chemo-radiation for locally advanced adenocarcinoma of the rectum.

Journal ArticleDOI
Comparison of patient stratification by computed tomography radiomics and hypoxia positron emission tomography in head-and-neck cancer radiotherapy
Jairo Socarras Fernandez,David Mönnich,Sara Leibfarth,Stefan Welz,Alex Zwanenburg,Alex Zwanenburg,Stefan Leger,Stefan Leger,Steffen Löck,Christina Pfannenberg,Christian la Fougère,Gerald Reischl,Michael Baumann,Michael Baumann,Daniel Zips,Daniela Thorwarth +15 more
TL;DR: No direct correlation of patient stratification using [18F]FMISO-PET or CT-radiomics was found in this study and direct assessment of tumour hypoxia using PET seems to be more powerful to stratify HNC patients.
