Correlation between the Superconducting Transition Temperature and Anisotropic Quasiparticle Scattering in Tl 2 Ba 2 CuO 6 + δ
M. Abdel-Jawad,James Analytis,Luis Balicas,Antony Carrington,Jonathan P. H. Charmant,M. M. J. French,Nigel E. Hussey +6 more
TL;DR: Angle-dependent magnetoresistance measurements are used to determine the isotropic and anisotropic components of the transport scattering rate in overdoped Tl2Ba2CuO6+delta, establishing a link between the superconducting and normal state physics.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ultrafast electron dynamics in the topological insulator Bi2Se3 studied by time-resolved photoemission spectroscopy
Jonathan Sobota,Jonathan Sobota,Jonathan Sobota,Shuolong Yang,Shuolong Yang,Shuolong Yang,D. Leuenberger,D. Leuenberger,Alexander F. Kemper,James Analytis,Ian R. Fisher,Ian R. Fisher,Patrick S. Kirchmann,Thomas P. Devereaux,Thomas P. Devereaux,Zhi-Xun Shen,Zhi-Xun Shen,Zhi-Xun Shen +17 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors characterized the topological insulator Bi2Se3 using time and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy and showed that the unoccupied states host a second Dirac surface state which can be resonantly excited by 1.5 eV photons.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electrical switching in a magnetically intercalated transition metal dichalcogenide.
Nityan Nair,Nityan Nair,Eran Maniv,Eran Maniv,Caolan John,Caolan John,Spencer Doyle,Spencer Doyle,Joseph Orenstein,Joseph Orenstein,James Analytis,James Analytis +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present measurements on the intercalated transition metal dichalcogenide Fe1/3NbS2 that exhibits antiferromagnetic ordering below 42'K and find that remarkably low current densities of the order of 104'A'cm−2 can reorient the magnetic order.
Journal ArticleDOI
Local measurement of the penetration depth in the pnictide superconductor Ba ( Fe 0.95 Co 0.05 ) 2 As 2
Lan Luan,Lan Luan,Ophir M. Auslaender,Ophir M. Auslaender,Thomas M. Lippman,Thomas M. Lippman,Clifford Hicks,Clifford Hicks,Beena Kalisky,Beena Kalisky,Jiun-Haw Chu,Jiun-Haw Chu,James Analytis,James Analytis,Ian R. Fisher,Ian R. Fisher,John R. Kirtley,John R. Kirtley,Kathryn A. Moler,Kathryn A. Moler +19 more
TL;DR: In this paper, magnetic force microscopy (MFM) was used to measure the local penetration depth of single crystals in a clean two-band fully gapped model and to obtain its temperature dependence and spatial homogeneity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Behavior of vortices near twin boundaries in underdoped Ba(Fe 1 − x Co x ) 2 As 2
Beena Kalisky,Beena Kalisky,John R. Kirtley,John R. Kirtley,James Analytis,James Analytis,James Analytis,Jiun-Haw Chu,Jiun-Haw Chu,Jiun-Haw Chu,Ian R. Fisher,Ian R. Fisher,Ian R. Fisher,Kathryn A. Moler +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used scanning SQUID microscopy to investigate the behavior of vortices in the presence of twin boundaries in the pnictide superconductor Ba(Fe1-xCox)2As2.
