Improving Single and Multi-View Blockmodelling by Algebraic Simplification

TL;DR: This work proposes a single step optimization method, which uses algebraic simplifi-cation to directly update the lower dimensional, latent structure representation of blockmodelling, and shows that this approach can solve multi-view blockmod modelling problems, involving multiple graphs over the same vertices.

Finding Influentials in Twitter: A Temporal Influence Ranking Model

TL;DR: In this paper, a PageRank-based temporal influence ranking model (TIR) was proposed to identify influential users in online social networks, where the transition probability in TIR is predicted by a logistic regression model and the random walk, biased according to users' temporal activity patterns.

Pattern‐Based Feature Generation

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigate how frequent patterns can be used to generate features and how to prune large pattern sets, and provide a framework of pattern-based feature generation.

Exploring Architectural Ingredients of Adversarially Robust Deep Neural Networks

TL;DR: In this paper, the impact of network width and depth on adversarially trained DNNs was investigated and it was shown that reducing capacity at the last stage of the network can actually improve adversarial robustness.
