Accelerating Time-Resolved MRA With Multiecho Acquisition
Hyun J. Jeong,Christopher S. Eddleman,Saurabh Shah,Nicole Seiberlich,Mark A. Griswold,H. Hunt Batjer,James C. Carr,Timothy J. Carroll +7 more
TL;DR: Contrast‐enhanced angiography with multiecho and radial k‐space can be combined with parallel imaging techniques such as Generalized Autocalibrating Partially Parallel Acquisitions (GRAPPA) to provide additional 2‐fold acceleration in addition to higher SNR to trade off for parallel imaging.
Journal ArticleDOI
Assessment of left ventricular myocardial scar in infiltrative and non-ischemic cardiac diseases by free breathing three dimensional phase sensitive inversion recovery (PSIR) TurboFLASH.
Aya Kino,Aoife N. Keeling,Cormac Farrelly,John Sheehan,Amir H. Davarpanah,Peter J. Weele,Sven Zuehldorff,James C. Carr +7 more
TL;DR: The navigator gated free breathing 3DPSIR approach is a suitable method for detecting myocardial late gadolinium hyperenhanced lesions caused by non-ischemic cardiomyopathy due to its complete isotropic coverage of the left ventricle, improving detection of scar lesions compared to 2D PSIR imaging.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cardiovascular magnetic resonance in women with cardiovascular disease: position statement from the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR)
Karen G. Ordovas,Lauren A. Baldassarre,Chiara Bucciarelli-Ducci,James C. Carr,Juliano L Fernandes,Vanessa M Ferreira,Luba Frank,Sophie Mavrogeni,Ntobeko B A Ntusi,Ntobeko B A Ntusi,Ellen Ostenfeld,Purvi Parwani,Alessia Pepe,Subha V. Raman,Hajime Sakuma,Jeanette Schulz-Menger,Lilia M. Sierra-Galan,Anne Marie Valente,Monvadi B. Srichai +18 more
TL;DR: A position statement from the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) on recommendations for clinical utilization of cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) in women with cardiovascular disease is presented in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Improved respiratory navigator gating for thoracic 4D flow MRI
Pim van Ooij,Edouard Semaan,Susanne Schnell,Shivraman Giri,Zoran Stankovic,James C. Carr,Alex J. Barker,Michael Markl +7 more
TL;DR: The findings of this study demonstrate the feasibility of the new navigator scheme to acquire 4D flow data with more predictable scan time while maintaining image quality and 3D velocity information, which may prove beneficial for clinical applications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Physicians' professional identities: a roadmap to understanding "value" in cardiovascular imaging.
TL;DR: The range clinical values related to cardiovascular imaging at a large academic hospital was characterized and differences in perceived value of cardiovascular imaging and use of guidelines among physicians were well explained by three value-associated identity categories.
