The 2020 update of the CEAP classification system and reporting standards

TL;DR: The CEAP Task Force has adopted the revised Delphi process and made several changes, including adding Corona phlebectatica as the C4c clinical subclass, introducing the modifier "r" for recurrent varicose veins and recurrent venous ulcers, and replacing numeric descriptions of the venous segments by their common abbreviations.
Journal ArticleDOI

The “C” of CEAP: Suggested definitions and refinements: An international union of phlebology conference of experts

TL;DR: The field of chronic venous disease (CVD) has suffered from a lack of precision in diagnosis, which has led to conflicting reports in studies of management of specific venous problems and adoption of a single classification worldwide would facilitate meaningful communication about CVD and serve as a basis for a more scientific analysis of management alternatives.
Journal ArticleDOI

Three-dimensional characterization of pathologic lesions in pulmonary langerhans cell histiocytosis.

TL;DR: The results demonstrated that the granulomatous process of pulmonary LCH affected exclusively small airways, in an acinar distribution, and the lesions extended without interruption along the bronchiolar axis, forming a continuous sheath around distal airways.
Journal ArticleDOI

Appraisal of the information content of the C classes of CEAP clinical classification of chronic venous disorders: a multicenter evaluation of 872 patients.

TL;DR: The information summarized with the CEAP clinical classes shows a good ascending severity but a poorer additivity, which suggests some refinements of this basic tool for clinical research in the field of chronic venous disorders.
Journal ArticleDOI

Coexistence of adrenergic and cholinergic nerves in the inferior hypogastric plexus: anatomical and immunohistochemical study with 3D reconstruction in human male fetus.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the hypogastric nerves and pelvic splanchnic nerves, which are classically considered purely sympathetic and parasympathetic, respectively, contain both adrenergic and cholinergic nerve fibres.
