TL;DR: It is reported that the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and its microenvironment show pronounced upregulation of interferon signaling pathways in fatal COVID-19, providing direct evidence for SARS-CoV-2 brain entry across the BBB resulting in an increase in interferons signaling.

TL;DR: The embryonic stem cell test to predict teratogenicity was made automation-compatible and the workflow was adapted to human iPS cells and isogenic fibroblast donor cells, providing a basis for a sensitive, more rapid, and reproducible high throughput screening compatible platform to predict in vivo developmental toxicity from in vitro data.
